The popular eTrex series from Garmin has been around for more than 15 years and was expanded in June 2019 with the eTrex 32x. The device features a 2.2-inch color display that remains easily readable even in direct sunlight. To help maintain orientation in challenging terrain, the handheld supports two satellite systems—GPS and GLONASS. The pre-installed TopoActive Europe map provides an overview for hiking, cycling, or geocaching. For those who need more, the microSD card slot allows for expansion of the 8 GB internal memory and the addition of extra map data. The eTrex 32x also includes a built-in 3-axis compass and a barometric altimeter, as well as ANT+ connectivity. Thanks to 2 AA batteries, the device can last up to 25 hours in GPS mode.
