This pole swings easily when walking, is stable despite its low weight and is ergonomic to grip. The narrower side grip made of comfortable cork-look foam rubber is so good that it can be held securely even without the basket strap. If you use the loop anyway, it encloses the hand perfectly and always keeps it in the right place...
So if you are looking for a pole that you can use for your mountain tours as well as for your runs, a combi model is certainly more universal - ideally even with length adjustment. Although this is noticeable in terms of weight, it allows for a wider range of uses.
