The Maxxis Rekon is a very voluminous tire that you can use for daily rides. It is excellent for forest trails and all-mountain shredding, but it also handles rough terrain with ease. The TR version with EXO sidewall protection is designed for tubeless riding with sealant, but like all TR tires, it can also be used with a tube. Maxxis primarily recommends the Rekon for the rear wheel, where it pairs best with a Forekaster in the front, but it can also be combined with coarser treads.

3C Maxx Speed: The fastest 3C compound for XC and some all-mountain/enduro tires is designed for low rolling resistance with its hard base and fast center tread. However, it offers superior grip in corners with its grippy side compound, even in wet conditions. Typical of Maxxis, it also boasts a very long lifespan.
