The Aerothan inner tube is made from TPU material supplied by BASF, which is obtained through chemical recycling (ChemCycling) from pyrolysis oil – a by-product of Schwalbe’s tyre recycling process. This conserves fossil resources and supports the circular economy. Aerothan is a material that completely redefines the bicycle inner tube: extremely lightweight, highly puncture-resistant and designed for minimal rolling resistance. The revolutionary Aerothan inner tube achieves unprecedented top marks in terms of elasticity, weight and puncture protection. Specially developed for road bikes, MTBs and touring bikes. Like all Schwalbe products, the new inner tube was not only developed in the laboratory but also perfected through thousands of test rides.
