The EX500 is a kind of "chameleon" among the cycling shoes in Shimano's portfolio. You can use the shoe with the SPD clipless pedal system to achieve a smoother pedal stroke and improved power transfer. The SPD cleat can be positioned in the midfoot area - with some flexibility - allowing for comfortable pedaling. The heavily profiled sole provides excellent traction while walking, with the side lugs offering some protection to the metal cleat. The airy, lightweight, breathable upper material ensures high comfort and effective moisture management.
