The X-SYNC 2 Eagle chainring is radically new. SRAM engineers have studied the performance and wear of thousands of X-SYNC chainrings. Chainrings of every size have been subjected to every imaginable stress, in the test lab as well as in the field. The goal was to create a chainring that would enhance the performance of the Eagle Group in all conditions. The result: the chainring teeth are longer and shaped like a saw blade to perfectly engage with the Eagle chain. The new chainring thus increases chain tension and pedalling efficiency.
