The reflection technology is characterized by design and functionality. The lens, covered with 18 film layers, has a reflective effect and additionally protects against infrared radiation with wavelengths from 780 nm to 1000 nm. Special pigments in the polymer lens activate a filter that eliminates and absorbs this radiation. Heat stress is significantly reduced, which decreases dryness and fatigue of the eyes and prevents gray haze.

UV-absorbing filters that are directly integrated into the material protect the retina of the eye 100% from UV damage up to 400 nm. All uvex lenses offer 100% UVA, UVB, and UVC protection.
