Product details
The 104 BCD is the most common bolt pattern for double and triple cranksets and is coincidentally the first product ever made by Wolf Tooth Components. Everything started for us with this chainring. The Drop-Stop® tooth design is the most powerful and durable wide/narrow chainring on the market.
Features: Compatible with any 104 BCD crankset. Designed to meet the demands for e-bike use. Chainring bolts: All tooth sizes require 1x bolts with a length of 6 mm, except for 30T chainrings, which are threaded and require bolts with a length of 7 - 10 mm. The 104 x 30T requires 10 mm bolts, while the 104 x 32T, 34T, 36T, and 38T use 6 mm bolts unless you are using a bash ring.
Chainring bolt requirements for bash ring: For use with the bash ring, 104 x 30T requires 10 mm bolts. Other 104 BCD sizes need 8 mm bolts (standard size found on 3x cranksets to hold the middle and large rings). Wolf Tooth does not manufacture these.
32T 104 BCD chainrings work with many older 2x Shimano cranksets (XT, SLX, or Deore). All sizes of 104 BCD chainrings are compatible with QUARQ power meters. The Wolf Tooth 30T is the only chainring on the market made with 104 BCD and is compatible with Quarq. This chainring is offset by 2 mm.
Drivetrains: 1x9, 1x10, 1x11, and 1x12 drivetrains. If you are using a 9-speed drivetrain, use a 10-speed chain. It fits tighter, providing better chain retention.
