Good day. Do I still need an ANT+ antenna for this smart trainer if I want to train with the Tacx app or Zwift. Thank you for your feedback. Matthias

Attention to all who want to use ANT+ sensors. For over a month Tacx support has been telling us that a version with ANT+ support is supposedly available. However, this does not exist. The ANT+ antenna is therefore complete nonsense. The trainers themselves contain ANT+ sensors that can be used when working with tablets or mobile phones. For the desktop app, ONLY BlueTooth 4.0 works! In Zwift, ANT+ is also not available via this antenna.

Best regards Heiko

No, no antenna is needed. Works fine for me via Bluetooth with Zwift on my MacBook and on my iPad.

Version 1.8.146.0 of the desktop app is now available. With this version ANT+ sensors are now also available. For the use of the Tacx trainers the connection via Bluetooth 4.0 is available and sufficient. Additional sensors, such as heart rate belts, the antenna is required and supported.

Have fun Heiko
