For all other languages, it's made in China and with a more classic USB cable (micro or mini, I don't know). I couldn't tell the other differences (components, build quality) .... . The version has no impact on the stories you want to put in it, so you can have the French version and then buy stories in German without any problem, and the stories delivered for free are also downloadable for free in the other languages

No difference to my knowledge. According to the research I did a few months ago, it must be related to different suppliers. "La Fabrique à Histoire" is the real French name and "Mon fabuleux conteur" must be from a German translation or an old name.
