SurgeArrest components such as MOVs and over-temperature fuses ensure an immediate response to lightning strikes and wiring faults. If the protective components are damaged due to power surges or overvoltage, no excess power reaches the connected devices. Unlike APC SurgeArrest products, most surge protection devices still allow current to flow after their circuits are damaged, leaving the devices exposed to further surges. This reduces line noise, which can lead to data loss or keyboard malfunctions.

The indicator light illuminates when the connected equipment draws a current that exceeds the unit's capacity. SurgeArrest alerts you when its circuit has been damaged by a severe strike or voltage shock in the power line and can no longer provide 100 percent protection.

Thanks to the plug-in angle, equipment and furniture can be placed closer to the wall than with conventional extension cords. The cables are also subjected to less strain.
