The protective contact socket® is equipped with a hinged cover and a labeling field, providing increased touch protection (IP55). It is suitable for devices such as washing machines and dryers and features a lock with unequal closures, which can be operated with four identical keys. The labeling field measures approximately 50 x 16 mm and is designed for P-touch tapes with a height of 12 mm.

The socket is equipped with terminal blocks and offers an entry for two wires as well as an additional entry for a cable or pipe. The upper and lower wire entries are arranged laterally, making installation next to door frames or similar structures easier. Additionally, there are two lateral cable entries that are particularly suitable for installation above workbenches.

A full-area seal under the housing base ensures sealing of the rear of the housing. The hinged cover closes flush and locks manually to ensure the protection rating of IP55. The mounting holes in the housing are easily accessible and funnel-shaped. A Wago 2-wire connection terminal for wiring is included, as well as two snap-in places for Wago 2-wire connection terminals in the housing base.

There is ample space for wiring under the sockets of the inserts (hollow base), and the installation of the insert in the housing is easily done by snapping in. The frame is securely fixed to the housing via a bayonet quick-release mechanism. The connection terminals comply with VDE 0620 and are built according to DIN 49440. Replacement keys and other locks (max. 24) are available upon request. The locks of one item have the same closures, while when ordering multiple items, unequal closures are usually present. Housing screws and hinged cover springs are made of stainless steel. Installation is surface-mounted. Material: plastic, thermoplastic, impact-resistant.
