Product details
Fire protection switches, arc fault detection devices (AFDD), reduce the risk of fire caused by defects in electrical installations. They disconnect the affected part of the system when serial and parallel arc faults occur. According to DIN VDE 0100-420, they are required for sleeping and living areas in daycare centers, nursing homes, and barrier-free apartments, as well as in fire-hazardous workplaces. The DAFDD 1 compactly combines the detection of arc faults with line and residual current protection. Contact position indicators and the residual current trip indicator provide a quick overview. The RCBO part offers independent protection against type A residual currents, as well as short circuits and overloads, regardless of the mains voltage. Switches with tripping characteristic B are the standard protection for lighting and socket circuits. The standard version is optimized for monitoring circuits with a rated voltage of 230 V and a rated frequency of 50 Hz.
Features: Combination device with three functions, two-pole, variable neutral conductor position, AFDD according to IEC/EN-62606, RCBO according to IEC/EN-61009, continuous self-monitoring of the AFD unit, mains voltage-independent tripping of the RCD and circuit breaker functions, AFDD trip reason display, contact position display, residual current trip display, compact size for all rated currents, high short-circuit resistance, terminal blocks with protection against accidental contact, tristable latching slider for easy installation and removal, mounting type: quick fastening on mounting rail, installation position arbitrary, bottom feeding.
Areas of application: Protection of circuits in residential and purpose-built buildings as well as industrial plants with TN-S and TN-C-S networks. The use in systems with TN-C networks and for the protection of circuits where devices of power electronics can cause smooth direct fault currents or fault currents with frequencies other than 50 Hz is excluded.
