Miniature circuit breakers, FAZ series, 6 kA and 10 kA. Single, double, and triple pole, thermally and magnetically tripping miniature automatic circuit breakers for DIN rail mounting. Available with three tripping characteristics. Selectable breaking capacity according to characteristic: 6 kA low-cost series or 10 kA full rating. Double-break contact system with internal spark extinction chamber. Storing firing mechanism with free tripping. Clear indication of contact position by frontal switching lever. Large terminal clamping capacity from 0.75 to 16 mm². Compatible with DIN rails, conforming to EN 50 022/DIN 46277-3. Conform to design provisions B, C, and S to new international standard IEC 898, BS/EN 60-898.

Curve B: Ensure comfortable tripping at currents 3 to 5 times the rated value. Fuse circuits with not too large inrush currents, e.g., for incandescent lamps, heating loads, households, and not too large buildings.

Curve C: Instantaneous tripping at currents 5 to 10 times the rated value. Fuse circuits with larger inrush currents, e.g., for industrial equipment, larger buildings, motors, and fluorescent lamps. Application where undesirable tripping occurs with faster tripping.

Curve S: Short circuit response threshold from 13 to 17 times rated current. Overload threshold from 1.05 to 1.3 times rated current. Ideally suited for protection of control circuits where very large inrush currents are expected, e.g., transformers.
