This self-clamping flap disc is a better alternative to conventional sanding sheets and impresses with a significantly longer service life. It is excellent for deburring, finishing, rust removal, smoothing, and weld seam processing even with low pressure. Due to its multi-layered abrasive coating, this flap disc remains as sharp as when first used: as the upper flaps wear down, fresh abrasive from the underlying flaps is exposed. This ensures a long lifespan and consistent work quality.
Thanks to the self-sharpening effect of zirconia alumina, combined with high hardness and sharpness of the abrasive grain, this tool achieves high material removal and long durability, especially on hard and tough materials like stainless steel. The back of the flap disc is equipped with a "quick-release" system made of plastic thread, similar to a sanding sheet. The disc is simply attached to the corresponding backing with a short twist. No additional mounting tools are required, and the flap disc is automatically centered. The backing lasts significantly longer due to its low wear compared to hook-and-loop or adhesive systems.
