The BKE-A adapter plate is suitable for the electronic household meter eHZ when replacing Ferraris meters and is supplied with a terminal cover. The mounting platform complies with DIN VDE V0603-5 for eHZ in systems with meter cross and features a contact device with 3 positions.

In the delivery or blocking position (P), the contact openings are closed (touch protection IP4X), and the incoming and outgoing connections are separated and sealable. In the mounting position (M), the contact openings for mounting the eHZ are open (touch protection IP3X), allowing the eHZ to be placed on it. The operational position is achieved by placing and sliding the eHZ into position. The incoming and outgoing connections are connected to the eHZ, and the eHZ is secured against tampering by sealing, with touch protection IP4X (with the terminal cover installed).

The terminal block is used for connecting the meter wires as with Ferraris three-phase meters (max. 16 mm² connection cross-section, connection torque 2 Nm). The maximum continuous current is 63 A (limit current of the eHZ = 60 A). The terminal block is covered with a terminal cover according to DIN 43857 Part 4 and Part 5.

The vertical positioning of the adapter over the horizontal rail of the meter cross in the mounted state is possible, and the adapter is prepared for future additional functions of the eHZ (rear data interface).
