Combination lightning current arrester set MCD... Type 1 (Class B) according to EN 61643-11. MCD 50-B/3+1: (4-pole) for TN-S and TT network systems. Energetically coordinated to type 2 arresters as well as directly to terminal equipment. Innovative multi-carbon technology with pluggable, encapsulated spark gaps. Conforms to VDN guideline 2nd edition 2004, discharge capacity 50 kA 10/350µs per pole (MCD125: 125 kA N-PE), mains follow current quenching 25 kA peak max. required back-up fuse 500 A, LPZ 0-2. The low protection level (Up <1.3 kV) eliminates the need to install decoupling inductors and provides protection directly to terminal equipment. The arrester set is supplied complete, ready for connection and pre-installed.
