The OBO generator connection box is a highly specialized accessory for photovoltaic systems that enables a safe and efficient connection of two PV strings. It provides effective DC protection for inverters and is equipped with a pluggable varistor surge protector that features a disconnection device in a fault-resistant Y-circuit. With a low DC protection level of less than 3.0 kV and a maximum operating voltage of 900 V DC, the connection box meets the stringent requirements of VDE 0100-712. The robust polycarbonate housing is designed for outdoor use and offers an IP66 protection rating, making it resistant to UV radiation and weather influences. The five pre-installed push-in terminals allow for easy installation and support cable cross-sections of up to 6 mm², as well as a maximum current of 41 A DC per terminal. A cable gland set and a pressure equalization element are included to ensure a safe and reliable installation.
