Product details

The Quint Oring is the rail-mountable active redundancy module from the Quint Power product family. With the help of the redundancy module, two identical power supplies that are connected in parallel for redundancy can be completely decoupled from each other. Redundant systems are used in applications that have particularly high demands for operational safety. The involved power supplies are sized so that the total current demand of all consumers can be covered by a single power supply. If the total demand increases, for example due to additional loads, beyond the rated current of the supplying power supplies, the power supply system is no longer redundant. A defect in the power supply or wiring can also lead to a loss of redundancy. This can be immediately detected via a potential-free signal contact and a corresponding LED. The Auto Current Balance (ACB) technology allows for an even distribution of load current across the connected power supplies, significantly increasing the lifespan of the redundant system.
