Galvanized wire rope, transparently coated. Made from high-quality wire rope with a nominal strength of 1770 N/mm². It features a lay length and is free of tension. According to EN 12385-4, lay lengths and tension-free wire ropes have the following advantages:

1. The strands of the ropes are pre-formed. Cut ropes maintain their position without requiring any binding at the cut interface.
2. Since all strands are evenly stretched, the load is distributed uniformly across all individual wires in the rope.
3. The ropes have a low tendency to form kinks.
4. The unloaded wire rope is free of tension, as the wires have no pre-load. Therefore, the ropes show little tendency to twist under load.
5. The ropes are characterized by exceptional flexibility.
6. Lay lengths and tension-free ropes have a significantly increased lifespan compared to standard wire ropes.

Note: The recommended maximum load capacity is a calculated value based on the minimum breaking load and a safety factor of 6. The chosen safety factor depends on the specific application and applicable regulations. Example of maximum load capacity for a 3 mm wire rope: max. kg = MBL = 530 kN ~ 90 kg.

Construction: A wire rope consists of a number of strands, which in turn consist of several wires. Additionally, fiber reinforcements are integrated to support the strands, reduce vibrations in the wire rope, and accommodate lubricants, e.g.: 5 x 7 + 1 -> 5 strands with 7 wires each and 1 fiber reinforcement.
