It is fixed with 2 rivets. You could drill them out and permanently remove the guard at your peril! Bosch specifically tell you not to do so in the manual.

Hello, no, this is an 18V device that is compatible with the 18v batteries from the green series.

You can only put in the 4All 18V, no Pro batteries work. With 2.5Ah the saw runs for approx. 20min, with 6Ah for an hour. Top for small-medium jobs.
No, I bought 2 batteries and a charger separately because when I received them I didn't have any, I got them for about 100.00
