Lotus Grill original requires batteries. But for Lotus grill with USB has an option to be powered by a power bank in case you run out of batteries. It has 2 options to run the Lotus grill - USB Powerbank and batteries

Had exactly the same problem, after contacting support the grill was replaced. It seems that the fan is a weak point. The new grill now works :-)
