Yes, the switch has an on/off switch on the bottom for manual switching without an app :) This lights up when the power is on and does not light up when the power is off.

You can control the myStrom switches via IFTTT. So you only have to program a command once via IFTTT (e.g. "I am at home") and every time you enter the command via Alexa, the predefined switches are triggered. By the way, it also works with many other IoT devices, so you can have your Nuki lock open your front door when the GPS of your phone is closer than 1km to your home, the possibilities are relatively unlimited.

The official app does not have a function that enables temperature-dependent control. myStrom, however, has an open API that is supported by various systems. I use myStrom together with Home Assistant, which runs on a Raspberry Pie. In this combination, everything is theoretically possible because you can access the temperature sensors of myStrom and control the relay. However, I recommend using a different temperature sensor, as the sensor in the relay is not very accurate due to the self-heating of the myStrom adapter.

As far as I know, the plug is only available with top earthing. The advantage is that three myStrom plugs can be fitted to a 3-way wall socket. Since the socket has the earthing on the inside.

Hello Tattoofreak, The MyStrom adapter must be connected to the MyStrom App Service in order to control it. For the router, I would recommend a hotspot connection to your smartphone as an alternative. The important thing is that the adapter is lit white and has a connection. Which receives a signal at the given hour / minute from the service as a ping. I hope I was able to help you. Greetings Andreas

Hello No, because the myStrom Switch needs a connection to the Internet to control it. So it also needs a connection to the WLAN. I assume that the router is also the AccessPoint. It works perfectly to control the TV.

The mobile phone does not have to be connected to the WLAN. For the timer function. However, I don't know if the switch has to be connected to the Wi-Fi.

No, you can't do that with it. I would recommend a Sehlly 1. With it, something like this can be realised.

You don't specify if this is the first connection to a new switch... If it is, you need to connect the phone to the wifi emitted by the switch and not to an existing wifi in the house. I can't remember the name of this wifi, but it is indicated in the manual supplied in the box.
