They are particularly suitable for connecting and fastening suction and compressed air hoses - with high Shore hardness or with plastic or steel inserts - as well as for securely fastening smooth-walled suction and compressed air hoses. Due to their extremely high belt tensile forces, hinge pin clamps are used particularly in commercial and special vehicle construction. Note: Material W1: Hose clamps in material group W1 are made entirely of coated steel. The coating is equivalent to galvanizing, which actively protects the clamps against corrosion by acting as a sacrificial anode. Nevertheless, this material is used in areas that do not place high demands on corrosion resistance, particularly indoors, and galvanized hose clamps have little or only limited resistance to acids, strong alkalis, and salt solutions.
