The variable and intelligent motor management system offers the possibility to implement many control functions, e.g. for reversing switches or valve control, and operates independently of the automation system. In conjunction with various extension modules, it provides a comprehensive framework of inputs and outputs, voltage and power measurement, fail-safe motor shutdown, accurate earth fault detection via the differential current transformer 3UL23, analog value monitoring, and temperature measurement. Depending on the version, various communication connections such as PROFIBUS, PROFINET, OPC UA, Modbus RTU, or EtherNet/IP are possible. The system delivers detailed operational, service, and diagnostic data – anytime and anywhere. The SIMOCODE ES (TIA Portal) software is available for project planning, commissioning, operation, and diagnostics of SIMOCODE pro. With the SIMOCODE pro block library for SIMATIC PCS 7, SIMOCODE pro can be easily integrated into the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system. The SIMOCODE pro V basic devices are available with DC 24 V or AC/DC 110-240 V control supply voltage. For operation, at least one current/voltage measurement module and a suitable connection cable 3UF793 are required.
