Type H Locking Sleeves
Locking sleeves are used to secure bearings with a tapered bore onto a cylindrical seat. When using locking sleeves on a smooth shaft, the bearings can be mounted at any position along the shaft. In contrast, when using stepped shafts together with a support ring, precise axial positioning of the bearing is possible, which also simplifies the removal of the bearings. The locking sleeves are supplied complete with a nut and a locking plate.
