Spax

The SPAX-typical T-STAR plus drive is a so-called hexalobular socket. This shape increases the contact surface of our T-STAR plus and the T-STAR plus bits sit perfectly in the screw head. The best possible power transmission from screwdriver to screw thanks to T-STAR plus enables you to work quickly and much more efficiently than with all other drives. The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) mills a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be countersunk without additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head is flush with the surface. The partially threaded screws are ideal for fastening thin components such as wood-based panels, boards or planks to thicker components such as squared timber or beams. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shank remains in the attachment. This creates the maximum contact pressure between the two. The non-threaded part should be at least as thick as the attachment. The term 4CUT stands for the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibres during screwing in and create space for the core diameter of the screw. The expansion pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced and splitting of the wood near the edge is prevented. The required torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, as the core of the screw does not have to "squeeze" into the wood. The abbreviation A2 for our stainless steel screws comes from the alloy of the steel. A2 stainless steel screws offer high protection against corrosion and medium strength. Their resistance to seawater and acids is low. They are therefore used outdoors in areas far from the coast.

The T-Star Plus recess drive provides a larger contact surface and optimal power transmission when driving screws.

Efficient T-Star Plus Drive

The material offers high protection against rust in outdoor areas away from the coast, but exhibits low resistance to acids and sea water.

Corrosion-Resistant A2 Stainless Steel

The square shape of the screw point displaces the wood fibres when inserted, reduces torque and prevents the material from splitting.
