The Kraftangriff Kreuzschlitz Z is an advancement of the simple cross-drive from Philips Screw Company. The difference lies in the fact that the four flanks of the screwdriver blade do not taper towards the tip. This increases the lateral grip for the bit and reduces the cam-out effect, which occurs in conventional cross-drive bits due to the tapering, as the torque from the cordless screwdriver pushes the bit upwards. The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) mills a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be sunk without additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface. Unlike partial threads, the full thread extends along the entire length of the screw. The more thread turns a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces that can be transferred from the screw to the wood. Our full-thread screws are primarily used for high-load wood connections. The S-tip is characterized by the fact that the thread is formed all the way to the front flanks. When you position the screw and start the cordless screwdriver, this thread immediately grips in the wood and effortlessly pulls the screw in. This allows for quick work without scratching the workpiece due to the screw tips slipping. Unlike conventional galvanized screws, YELLOX is free of chromium (VI) and therefore significantly more compatible with humans and nature. YELLOX screws are more resistant to corrosion with the same surface layer thickness. However, their use remains limited to indoor applications. As the name suggests, screws coated with YELLOX have a yellowish appearance.
