The Kraftangriff Kreuzschlitz Z is an advancement of the simple cross-power drive from Philips Screw Company. The difference lies in the fact that the four sides of the screwdriver blade do not taper towards the tip. This increases the lateral grip for the bit and reduces the cam-out effect, which occurs in conventional cross-power drives due to the tapering, as the torque of the cordless screwdriver pushes the screwdriver bit upwards.

The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) carves a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be sunk without the need for additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface.

In contrast to partial threads, the full thread extends over the entire length of the screw. The more thread turns a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces that can be transferred from the screw to the wood. Our full-thread screws are primarily used for high-load wood connections.

The term 4CUT refers to the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the screw's core diameter. This reduces the spreading pressure that the core exerts in the wood and prevents the wood from splitting near the edges. The necessary torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, as the screw's core does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.

Unlike conventional galvanized screws, YELLOX is chromium (VI)-free and therefore significantly more compatible with humans and nature. YELLOX screws are more resistant to corrosion with the same surface layer thickness. Nevertheless, their use is limited to indoor applications. As the name suggests, screws coated with YELLOX have a yellowish appearance.
