The SELEKTA series from Theben/Timeguard offers astronomical digital timers with weekly programming. Both 1-channel and 2-channel versions are available, with resistive load switching up to 16 A. Key features of the SELEKTA series include a segment length of 1 minute, automatic changeover between summer and winter time, a battery life of up to 10 years, and up to 84 memory positions.

This astronomical timer allows for weekly programming with offsets for setting sunrise and sunset times. Position data can be programmed via coordinates or country and city lists. Fixed ON/OFF switching times can be programmed, such as a nightly time interruption. It also simulates switching times, including calculated astronomical times and programmed ON/OFF switching times.

The reversible astronomical mode can be set for evening ON - morning OFF or evening OFF - morning ON, and can also be deactivated. It features DuoFix spring terminals with a wire diameter of 0.5 to 2.5 mm², an easy-to-use button for disconnection via plug-in connection, and text-oriented user guidance on the display.

Additionally, it has an interface for the OBELISK top2 memory card for PC programming, a power reserve for 10 years (lithium battery), a zero-crossing circuit for relay-saving switching and high lamp loads, a permanent ON/OFF switching option, an integrated operating hours counter, and a reset option. The display has a backlight that can be switched off if required, and there are date control options for Europe, the USA, and other countries.
