Drill a hole the same size as the dowel diameter, drill in perforated brick and plasterboard without hammering in a turning motion to prevent the webs in the perforated brick from breaking out, drill the hole in plasterboard with a wood or metal drill, drill in concrete and solid brick with hammering.
