This is the new version of Eve Engergy (10EBO8351), which "speaks" Matter and Thread. For this you need the new Home Architecture and a compatible hub: Apple TV 4K (3rd gen, 128 GB), Apple TV 4K (2nd gen), HomePod (2nd gen), HomePod mini, plus the latest tvOS and iOS, according to https://www.evehome.com/de/hub. As far as I know, you have to switch to the new Apple Home architecture if you want to use Matter devices, see https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT213481 If you want to stay with HomeKit for now, it is recommended to use the HomeKit version of Eve Energy. You can upgrade this to Matter later if you want to make the leap, see https://www.evehome.com/de/upgrade-to-matter Only digitec can answer why the old HomeKit version (10EBO8301) is sold at a higher price.

If you have one of the control centres mentioned above, you can use this version of the device even if you are still on the old Apple Home architecture. Just tried it out.
