What about the batteries? How often do you have to replace them? If they are dead, it will probably not be ideal to be outside without a key.
6 months is a bit much. It depends on whether the bridge is used or not. For me, the batteries last about 1-2 months, but in a four-person household with a dog and a bridge. I now use rechargeable batteries.
Depends on how often you open the door by smartphone. Normally the batteries last about 6 months. The app warns you before the batteries are completely empty.
