My rule of thumb: Light switch with switch, switchless control with Smart Module.

This module is equipped with two potential-free relays (floating contact) with a common input point and can be used either for switching a classic 230 V voltage or any DC voltage type (5 V, 12 V ... 24 V DC).

This makes it possible to use this module for the control of any load, such as a heating system (by connecting the potential-free contact instead of a thermostat) or also the motor operation of portals, garage doors, etc.

Have used it for the garage opening.
