This is the English edition of the Game of the Year 2023. In Dorfromantik – The Board Game, up to six players collaboratively place hexagonal tiles to create a beautiful landscape while trying to fulfill the tasks of the local population. They aim to create the longest railway and the longest river, while also considering the flags that provide points in completed areas. The better players accomplish this, the more points they can achieve in the end. Throughout the replayable campaign, players can unlock new tiles with the points they earn, which are hidden in initially sealed boxes. These offer players new, additional challenges and allow them to continually increase their high score.
