In 2006, Ford Motor's chief engineer Christian Loriaux optimized the vehicle by revising the seating position, roll cage, suspension, aerodynamics, and engine. The 2-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine delivers 300 hp and 550 Nm of torque. During its seven years of factory use, Ford won four constructors' titles with the RS. TAMIYA presents this model in a custom version, meaning it is a street version without sponsors. The 58724 TAMIYA model is based on the proven TT-02 chassis in 1:10 scale. This chassis features adjustable wheelbase, ground clearance, track width, and gear ratios, and with countless optional tuning parts, it can be quickly modified into a racer. The 4WD drive with a central shaft, double wishbones, and shock absorbers on all four wheels ensures a realistic driving experience and excellent traction. The underside of the chassis is designed to be extra smooth, and the battery compartment accommodates all common battery types. A visual highlight is the wheel hubs, which have attached brake disc replicas. The included body is unpainted and can be painted with TAMIYA polycarbonate paints.
