The Layrite Deluxe Pomade offers a strong hold and the moldability of a classic pomade, lasting all day long. It can be combed and restyled at any time without drying out quickly like gel or causing the hair to clump together. Additionally, it washes out more easily than hair gel. It also gives the hair a bit more volume after it has set for a while. Since Layrite pomades do not contain oils, they do not provide any nourishment to the hair. Particularly with the firmer Superhold, the hair may feel somewhat dry after half a day, as if a matte pomade has been used. However, the shape and combability remain excellent.
