ABSTRACT : Home blood pressure monitors are widely used by consumers yet cardiovascular health may be better defined by pulse-wave velocity (PWV). So far, the Withings Body Cardio scale is the only consumer device that has been designed to measure PWV and body composition, including fat mass (FM) and fat-free mass (FFM), in the home setting. While one study has demonstrated that this device meets the acceptable accuracy standards of the ARTERY Society, no study has accounted for the gravitational effect of standing on a scale on aortic-leg PWV. CONCLUSION : The Body Cardio scale provides accurate measures of BM and PWV; however, it should be used cautiously for measures of FM and FFM.

Hello Galaxus. I was surprised to receive a Nokia-labelled scale. Wasn't the Health division bought up again by Withings two years ago? (https://www.withings.com/ch/de/event/nokia-withings) Ladenhüter.....?

I don't know everything about it, but it could be that older models are still in retail circulation. It wouldn't be so great ecologically if certain products ended up in the rubbish just because of branding....

Does the scale show everything even without a wifi, Bluetooth or smartphone connection?

Yes, but I don't know how big the internal memory is. I would search Google for the instructions, I think it's in there. However, it would be better to have it connected to wifi, then you can also view the history in the app. For the initial setup, a Bluetooth connection to the mobile phone with the app is necessary anyway! Would a simpler and cheaper scale serve your purpose?
