I was provided with the Philips electric shaver as a product tester. When I unpacked it, I immediately noticed that it was a very high-quality product. Shaving was very comfortable. The shaver adapts perfectly to the face, doesn't pinch and achieves an excellent result without irritating the skin. The pictures show the before picture and the result after shaving

Perfect shaving experience
I can really recommend the Shaver Series 5000 S5885/35 Electric Wet and Dry Shaver. It is powerful, feels good in the hand. It's thorough, as well as for wet and dry shaving. Thanks to the precision scissor heads and flexible 360-degree swivel head, it adapts perfectly to the contours of the face. Shaves gently and very quietly. The fold-out trimmer is perfectly sufficient for defining and specifying the moustache and sideburns. Cleaning is completely uncomplicated. The shaving head opens at the touch of a button, simply rinse with the brush provided or under the tap.

Solid shaver also for sensitive skin
The Philips shaver leaves almost nothing to be desired. On the one hand, the speed of a dry shave, on the other hand, the possibility of the "fresh feeling" of a wet shave - both are possible with one device. Especially for people with sensitive skin or with many liver spots, the risk of cutting oneself is virtually eliminated with the Philips shaver. Cleaning is very easy, just open the flap by pressing the button and rinse under running water. The only drawback is that there is no power supply included. However, this should not be a major problem, as it can be charged with any standard USB charger.

reliable shaver

So I am very satisfied with the razor, it is charged very quickly and also shaves very well (there are different attachments) there is a nice cover to it it is really very good in the hand the inner parts fit very well to the skin the only thing is just the cleaning or you have to empty it quite often the volume is too small in my opinion otherwise purchase recommendation from me

Perfect shaving result without ifs & buts
In my case, this is the first Philips razor, so I had to get used to the shape of the razor head and get used to the contours of my 3-day beard, but after 2-3 days this was no longer a topic. The razor feels good in the hand and glides smoothly over the skin (despite problem skin) without irritating it. The trimmer pops out at the touch of a button using a spring, so unfortunately it can only be used in one direction. If you want to use the trimmer from top to bottom and vice versa, you have to fix it with your thumb, otherwise it folds back in. But here, too, you quickly get used to it.
All in all, I am thrilled and my wife is thrilled with the "noise". I've never heard such a quiet shaver "NOT" 😉 I've never heard such a quiet shaver 😉 I've never heard such a quiet shaver.
Some customers complain about the lack of a power supply, but I have installed USB sockets directly in the bathroom, and I'm glad I don't have to use another power supply (which I'm sure you have plenty of from other electrical appliances).

Good shaver with clean results
As part of a product test, I was allowed to take a closer look at the Philips S5585/35 wet-dry shaver. And no...that's why I still have my own opinion about this device.
And it is "almost" entirely positive.
But let's start from the beginning.
What does a good shaver have to do? Yes, it must (usually) shave as quietly and gently as possible in the morning. And the Philips is really good at that. Thanks to the rubberised surfaces, it sits comfortably in the hand. However, I only shave dry, so I can't say anything about wet shaving.
Thanks to the SkinIQ technology, the feeling after shaving is simply great.
The skin feels smooth and not irritated at all. The volume during shaving is really very pleasant and does not disturb.
The integrated pop-up trimmer is also perfectly adequate for contours.
Cleaning is also very easy. You can either use the brush provided or simply rinse the shaver with water.
But now to my "mini" point of criticism. Why on earth is there no power supply included with the shaver? With a shaver in this price range, you can expect that everything you need to operate this device is also included. But no, here the "climate protection" rust pen was applied and only a charging station and a USB cable are included. That means you actually have to use your mobile phone power adapter for charging. Um... by chance I don't have it in the bathroom, but in the kitchen, where my smartphone needs to be charged every day.
Conclusion: A really great device that provides a perfect shave. But please include a power supply...Pro

Pleasant handling

A fine tool... until it's time to clean up
When I was cleaning the shaving head in the sink, it suddenly came apart in my hands and I could only hold on to two of the three heads... One therefore fell, prisoner, into the sink. It would have been a mere detail if, when I went to replace the lost head, I found it impossible to put them back together, despite the instructions and a YouTube tutorial. It's inconceivable that Philips would require the head to be completely disassembled rather than sell the replacement accessory they've prepared. It's easy to see why they recommend replacement every two years... that's probably how long the whole shaver will last - since it's better to buy a new one. It's a shame, because the device itself is not without its qualities. But for me, I'm back to Braun. However, I'd like to thank Galaxus for their understanding and their customer service, which is always impeccable and recommendable.

Top device
Top appliance, great value for money. Thorough shave and easy cleaning. I don't mind that it doesn't come with a power pack, there are enough lying around from other appliances. The only small disadvantage is the long hair trimmer, which has no way of locking into place. You have to stabilise it with your finger when you hit the long hair trimmer.

Good product
I received the Philips Shaver 5000 S5887/35 as a product tester. The shaver comes with a charger to put the shaver in, a bag, a charging cable and a brush. Everything looks and feels very high quality.
After charging the device and using it for the first time, I am very positively surprised by this device. The shave is very close and very comfortable. It also does its job very well in the sensitive neck area without pulling out hairs. However, you have to go over the same area several times to get all the hairs in the end. I always shaved dry during my tests. The volume of the device is very moderate and the battery life is also impressive.
Cleaning the appliance is easy thanks to the option of opening the shaving head at the touch of a button.
All in all, a good appliance that can be recommended.
