Sonic toothbrush
The toothbrush is great in and of itself, the attachments are just as usual unjustifiably expensive. It looks nice, the battery lasts forever and the charging station fits well.
I only discovered after some time that the toothbrush has Bluetooth, and among other things, saves all cleaning processes. You can use an app where you have to make a cloud account and have location turned on, but it offers 0 added value. The toothbrush streams data from the gyroscope (WTF?), temperature and pressure sensors via BLE during every cleaning process, which anyone within range can access without pairing. In the attached image is a representation of the data during a cleaning process. This is all absolutely unnecessary and ridiculously overengineered. It is questionable that human and material resources are put into something like this, and even for hardware hackers, this functionality is boring after 2 hours.
Cheaper Soniccare obviously have the same motor and battery as the expensive ones, also the same controller. So you're not paying for a better device here but only for dental hygiene absolutely unnecessary technical gimmicks.

At the recommendation of our dentist have been using the Sonicare line of brushes for about 10 years. As a Family of four we have been through about 10 of these brushes. About half have failed within warranty and the replacement service has been excellent. However, only the first brush I bought lasted about 4 years, the rest have been between 2 or 3 years before expiring. We have a shoebox now full of Sonicare glasses and charging pods to show for it. I don’t feel like this is good value given the high cost of the latest brushes and don’t like the environmental implication either. Now trying alternative brands.

Generally a good toothbrush. I've been using it for about 2 years and haven't had any problems so far. The battery lasts a really long time, which is very practical. Charging does take a while, but overall the advantage of the long battery life outweighs this.
One disadvantage is the high price - both the toothbrush itself and the accessories such as replacement brushes are quite expensive. However, as I bought it on Black Friday, the price was acceptable to me.
The toothbrush can be connected to the associated app via Bluetooth, which saves and analyses brushing processes. However, the app only works when it is actively open, which is a little inconvenient. I prefer to watch YouTube videos while brushing my teeth rather than tracking my brushing progress in an app. I therefore uninstalled the app again after two weeks.
