How can you charge the device? Does the toothbrush only charge with the glass or can you plug the charging cable into the brush? Taking the Gass on holiday would not be a great solution...

Unfortunately no travel case included. Charging only possible with glass/plastic part. Therefore unsuitable for longer holidays.

The toothbrush is charged via the glass, there is no connection on the toothbrush itself. However, a travel case with a USB port is supplied for charging the toothbrush when travelling. (can be seen in picture 4)
