How loud is this appliance ? I have had bad experiences with the noise level of some hair clippers. Unfortunately, you can usually only "marvel" at the devices in the packaging.

I hope you can relate to "the noise level of the device is quite normal" ;) I already had the predecessor, and it wasn't particularly loud either. Definitely a high-quality device that is rather quiet for this category of device. Another plus point compared to the predecessor, the power supply unit is much smaller and lighter.

Everyone perceives noise differently. Compared to the other hair clippers I've had so far, this one sounds louder because of the very fast shearing movements. But I wouldn't say it's louder than the others. Until now, I didn't have a Panasonic clipper, only Braun and Philips, but this one convinced me and I would buy it again...
