I have lost the plug adapter together with the USB charging cable or left it in a hotel abroad. Can I buy the USB charging cable and adapter plug for the travel case separately or buy a complete travel case?

This is not a problem. You can use any USB charger. The plug on the charging case is also a standard plug. I use the same charger on the road as for my mobile phone, if at all. The toothbrush lasts for 2 weeks without charging.
