The unit is not intended for use under water. However, it is recommended to clean the head under running water when the mains plug is disconnected. The unit can also be rinsed off as a whole - but I wouldn't do that because there is no gain in use.

I always wash out the front part that can be detached, as the space with the eccentric fills with hair. However, the moving parts that make contact should be greased again afterwards. It is a pity, however, that the manufacturer does not supply the appropriate grease or at least an oil for the blade. In my opinion, the product is good, but not durable and not robust.

I've never tried it, but I wouldn't. I can't imagine that it is waterproof.
