Yes! This shaver is definitely for the head too! I have head hair pigmentation and shave my few original hairs away every three days with this razor. It shaves nice and smooth without causing any skin irritation. The hair transplant clinic recommended a Philips razor, they said a cheap one from Philips was enough, but I got one of the higher class because the blades in the 9000 series are the best in pretty much everything and I don't regret the 100 franc surcharge at all. Surprisingly, I can recommend the shaver ONLY for the head. I get a rash when shaving my beard, so I prefer to continue using the traditional razor blades. But perfect for the head! I would buy it again!

I don't have any experience with baldness myself. However, friends have highly recommended the OneBlade from Philips for this.
