Is there also a charger for the wall socket or do I have to buy a plug adapter (USB to wall socket) myself ? Does the USB charging cable have a wall plug?

No, it doesn't. The travel case itself does not have a battery, but only charges the toothbrush when it is in it. Considering the fact that the battery lasts for 2 weeks, the charging function via the travel case should only be used rarely.
But it needs a plug. I use the one from my mobile phone. That works very well.

A 100-240 VAC to 5 VDC power supply with USB socket is included. Put the toothbrush in the travel case and connect it with the included USB cable (type A to B) for charging.
