LONGER LIFE EXPECTANCY: Everyone knows today that... 1. it is not good for the battery to be constantly charged at 100% (--> it ages faster that way) 2. ..can only stand 1000x charging cycles --> they are over after 3 years!!! PHILIPPS-HACK: Just put it in the washing station WITHOUT connecting the shaver electrically and start the washing process by pressing a button! Question: My shaver head is very hot after one wash - which amazes me - is that normal?

1000 charging cycles -> 10000 days (you need to charge it every 10 to 14 days) -> 27 to 38 years. Usually the charging cycles are defined as "full charging", if you charge only the last 6 %, you should not consider it as full charging. Your point 1) was for old battery technologies. I'm not sure the batteries in the razors have such effect. [note: car batteries are the opposite: better full charged, so we should not generalize]. Note: I do not think the battery will endure so long.

Personally, I charge only when the battery if empty, and I alternate washing and just charging. Note: one of the high quality razor in Series 9000 do not support any more any wash stations, so I assume we should not wash often (but for the usual wash under tap water).

Some washing cycles heat the head (there are various programs, chosen automatically by washing station), but as far I know. But I never shaved after I wash the razor (usually I wash it after I use it, and so at evening it is cold, and ready for next day).
