What does the device record if the pulse is irregular - e.g. in the case of a so-called cardiac arrhythmia?
No, they are not recorded. Only the blood pressure and pulse are taken. For the detection of heart rhythm disorders, a 24-hour ECG should be done by the doctor.
If the successive pulse beats differ by more than 20%, the sign irregular heartbeat is displayed. If this symbol appears repeatedly in different measurements, it is recommended to go to the doctor and have an ECG done. This is probably a cardiac arrhythmia. Many of these arrhythmias are harmless; in the case of atrial fibrillation, the doctor will suggest an appropriate measure.
They are not recorded, but an indication follows if the pulse is irregular and the blood pressure measurement would be unreliable.
