9 Split air conditioners 07/2014

When the summer sun really shines down from the sky, it often gets unbearably hot in attics, behind south-facing windows or in conservatories. The residents sweat, suffer and risk their health. Air-conditioning units promise a remedy. The range includes one-piece mobile models as well as two-piece models that can be permanently mounted on the wall indoors or outdoors. The outdoor and indoor units are connected via a refrigerant line. In the test, only half of the units performed well. There are frequent points of criticism, especially for one-piece monobloc units: relatively high power consumption, modest cooling comfort, noisy.
