The Soft Glam Filter from Catrice gives your cheeks a glow-up

Foundation and highlighter hybrids such as the Catrice Glow Booster are very popular at the moment. Among other things, because they can be used in a variety of ways. One way? As a secret ingredient in your blush.

This Soft Glam Filter from Catrice is a lucky pickup. The tinted drugstore highlighter, based on the popular Hollywood Flawless Filter from luxury brand Charlotte Tilbury, is the best secret weapon for radiant cheeks. But not in the way you might think. Of course, the fluid can be used in a variety of ways, according to the manufacturer. You can wear it under and over make-up or mix it into your foundation. All things to give your face that beautiful glow. However, I use the booster for a very specific purpose – giving my blush that little bit extra. A shimmering blush makes cheeks look fuller and fresher.

It’s this easy

Apply a dab of the glow booster to the back of your hand. Put some blush on your index finger and work the pigments into the highlighter using circular movements. Then dab your pimped blush onto your cheeks. This small intermediate step takes less than ten seconds, but has a visible effect on the end result.

The perfect mix.

The cool thing is, the mix works whether you use a liquid, creamy or powdery blush. Of course, you can also use a liquid highlighter that you already have at home. Personally, I think that Catrice’s product is particularly suitable for mixing. Thanks to its thick texture, light coverage and non-intrusive shimmer, it has a slightly muted radiance and a subtle glow.

Note: because the Catrice product is slightly opaque, it also minimally changes the colour of your blush. As I use a light shade, it gives my blush a pastel touch. A welcome way to add a little variety to your make-up, especially in spring.

You can also mix the Glow Booster with powder blushes.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
